Outer Measure or Lebesgue's Outer measure has been defined. Some important results which follow directly from the definitions have been proved: such as Outer measure is never negative, Outer measure of an empty set is zero, Outer measure of a subset of a set less than equal to the outer measure of the set, Outer measure of a singleton set is zero.
