Absolutely loved the Assassination quests for The Fangs of the Father, sneaking into Gilneas and the tombs of Karazan

MoP cloak was truly the best thing ever. The effects, the insane amount of grind and the patience involved was so rewarding in the end. The chef's kiss were the procc visuals and I am SO happy that there are the MoP remix toys now to grant ppl the visual proccs again

Thor'idal the legendary bag slot, and Atiesh (literally one of the most iconic weapons in the lore, staff of the guardian, are both huge snubs.

I was lucky enough to be given my guild’s first Staff of Tarecgosa as a shadow priest. I just came back to wow and I love dragon riding as Tarecgosa. I didn’t know Kalec gives you a mount so I’m so glad I found this video. Thank you!

1. the unfinished classic legendary Ashbringer questline…

What's missing from the Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker background is how complicated was crafting of the Enchanted Elementium Bars back in the day. Part of the mats were just simply expensive to purchase, but the ingots dropped from another raid, and you needed a priest to mind control a named NPC in that raid to teach a player the recipe to smelt it.

I also remember for the MoP cloaks that once you finished the quest line, your character would be put on display outside of the Seat of Knowledge

As a Restoration Druid main, Val'anyr is my favorite because it's so cool when it procs and then cast tranquility and see so many shields. Druids can't give out shields so it's really fun to use

I think the Fangs of the Father should be ranked higher--and not just because I main a rogue. Your description of it COMPLETELY overlooks a very fun aspect of that quest chain.

There were multiple challenges that required using a rogue's full toolkit to succeed in. It required knowledge of the class to achieve. The closest thing I can think of is the breaker of the black harvest feat for Warlocks (and to a much lesser extent, the Wrathion challenges for the MoP cloak). For example, you had stealth missions where you had to stealth past hyper-aware enemies (this is where they started the "circle to show where you're seen" mechanic that appeared in some quests after cataclysm), there was the challenge with Nalice where you had to use expose armor to remove her damage reduction bubble (and if you didn't know this, you were guaranteed to fail that challenge)

The Stars Fury was a huge thing when it came out. No arrows/ammo costs. It saved so much gold.

NO ATIESH?! Atiesh is absolutely #1 with no close second. The grind you had to do on the hardest raids in vanilla was iconic. Also, hardly anyone got to even do Vanilla Nax so having this weapon was an absolute status symbol. And that’s not even talking about the lore significance. I mean cmon, it’s medivh’s staff that the mages of dalaran destroyed because it was driving people insane and once you had the frame of the weapon completed you had to go into Strat to summon a demon to cleanse it. The demon was the literal hand of Sargeras which was one of the earliest mentions of him in the game which was chilling AND if you disarm his weapon it was a different legendary that you could use in the fight which gave you perspective and just made you feel puny and insignificant in scale compared to the forces of the twisting nether. Cmonnn man. Nothing compares to Atiesh. For it to not even make the list is insane.

Mops cloaks are probably also somewhat responsible for the Mage Towers existence. One Part of the Quest was to complete one of the 4 Celestials Challenge, wich was a seriously hard for a quest back then, especially since you had to do it solo, and i dont think challenging solo content was really a thing until then

I feel the most impressive thing about thinderfury was totally missed here.
It was the BIS tank weapon for all of vanilla and most of tbc. The only other legendary that comes remotely close in staying power was val'anyr

@16:50 They are Illidan's weapons, but for World of Warcraft. The original-original Warglaives from Warcraft 3 are NOT green (as far as i remember) and at the middle point of each blade (where Illidan was holding them) there was the face of a Pandaren... just a little FYI for new players or old gamers. :) Let's see who noticed this little detail in Illidan's blades. :)
