I expect it to be more like the old Superman movies I watched as a kid, but it seems a lot expect it to be over the top, superman vs some random cgi monster or something, with how James Gunn is able to make gold out of lesser known characters, I wouldn't be surprised if Super-Man fights someone like Swamp Thing or such, not the more well known Zod, Doomsday. And Lex is a great mind to verse Superman, love Smallville and other media, plus Lex has a lot of wealth typically and is sometimes with access to armored suits - and usually never hesitates using Kryptonite on Superman. Could go many ways, some DC fans seem to treat James Gunn as some random walking in on conversations, no he runs it now - what he says is the action plan.

I feel like i have to qualify this with every James Gunn video. It isn't "people" getting upset with Gunn, it is Snyder bois. That's it, that's literally the extent of it.

Hopefully this is the only time Lex Luthor is the main villain because he's already been done to death. I'm sure James Gunn will do the right thing and maybe the sequels will introduce Bizarro, Ultraman, and most hopefully Brainiac. And who knows maybe after the only time Lex is the main villain he will have a redemption arc and become the Magneto/Loki of the DCU. Staring off as the arch enemy and then progressively becoming one of the good guys.

*_Well, I wanna feel sad for James Gun having to all anti-scoopers in a nuclear way, but: This is exactly what we KNEW was going to happen to anyone taking on the job of captaining the DC Cinematic universe (Regardless of whether they rebooted it or not; and knew that it would be even worse if they did reboot it, even if it indeed was the right thing to do). So, he KNEW what he was getting into and can't complain about having to do this now. Yes, those scoopers are much more to blame than him and if they'd just ease up he wouldn't have to do this, but we all know that since capitalism encourages profit above all other considerations and that YouTube rewards views over accuracy and so nothing will change in the short or long term and that Gun is still going to have to this even if his next 22 DCU movies are successes_*

While I don’t believe Ultraman or Bizzaro is in the movie, the fact that Lex is the main villain doesn’t rule out Superman fighting super-powered characters.

1) Gunn has lied so often that you can't take him seriously.
2) Gunn had no time to promote Blue Beetle, Aquaman 2, or represent DC but he as time to engage on social media to debunk rumors that have been around for months and that no one believes.
