Have the UAD Fairchild and Manley (this one works great in Mid Side mode) and works fantastic.
Also EL Rey that bumps the 60 HZ area like the original RCA that model does; also to get more color you can increase the Input. Love it in Female vocals and of course
Some other that i like a lot: MJUC from Klanghelm, The Amazing and colorful AR1 from Kush Audio and another one i love for vocals and bass (when im not using the El REY; The Summit Audio TLA 100 emulation from softube.

I really dig the Klanghelm MJUC it's cheap and sounds better than most. It's 3 compressors in one mk1 is a Fairchild, mk2 is a 176, mk3 is a Manley Vari Mu. ✊🏾😁

Pulsar Audio made a pretty good emulation of Manley Vari-Mu. It's parked regularly on my master bus. Has a lot of added features too.

hello, (after correcting the frequency response with SIENNA, i.e. linearity / harman curve) what is the ideal dB value in addition to the bass? That is, after which you would increasingly lose quality by upsetting the headphones. I am referring to the right value to add on the bass to a headphone so as not to upset it, not to damage the drivers for example. and do not lose quality. Then are there headphones more suitable to undergo additions on the bass? based on transducers (dynamic or magneto-planar or drivers

I wish El Rey had more dirt. Theres always TimPs RCA limiter. Sampled from the same type of unit- more meticulously in my opinion, and complete with saturation

Have you tried the Pulsar Audio Mu ? A very nice emulation of the Manley. It sounds so smooth and pretty beefy low-end as well.

Ya know, I never could find the reasoning to justify the El Rey lol. Every time I go put it in the cart I have a small heart attack hahaha! I have so many other options that it's hard to justify and I make money using plugins, you would think that would make it easier. 🤣
