“Also, they bought a ghost town in South Dakota in 2011” I literally laughed out loud this was so unexpected. I live dry humor.

I'm from the Philippines and I have a friend who is an INC. He told me that because it is literally written in the Tagalog Bible version that the "true" church is called "Iglesia ni Cristo" so they're the one's who right. "You see? It's written here and that's why we're right!" It's as close as calling North Korea "democratic" just because it has "democratic" in its official DPRK.

Dude that was 2 minutes I really needed. I know of people a part of this church and there is one down the street. I wasnt aware of their beliefs on Jesus.

Excellent and objective video, only factual error I noticed is you got the wrong founder. Felix Manalo registered the Church in the PI in 1914 but he is not the founder.

Also I would have added that they built the Philippine Arena, at the time the world’s largest indoor arena, and also have Guinness world records in humanitarian and outreach works.

Thanks for the video. A neighbor of mine is INC.

Thanks for making this video. Your videos have often focused on Christianity in the United States, and since there are congregations of this denomination in the United States, as well as from a nation which at one time was a United States Commonwealth, this video fits within your focus. Keep up the good work.

They are the Filipino version of the JWs. But unlike them they like and will go out of their way to debate.

Thank you muchly for including a short definition of common jargon. Not all of us are scholars of Christian denominations.

I was thinking that practically every tenet sounds like Jehovah's Witnesses, other than salvation through works and not faith alone and the fact that JWs don't get involved in politics, don't even vote. But then you pointed out the similarity to JWs yourself.

Not to be confused with the Philippine Independent Church, one of two churches in the Philippine Islands that are in the Anglican Communion.

So we're all just going to ignore that they bought a ghost town???

I had no idea this was an actual denomination. There was an INC a few blocks from where I grew up in Canada and I always assumed it was just a Catholic Church. The more you know.

Thank you for making your videos efficient and to the point.
I'm so glad you do not waste our time.

I grew up as a Catholic Filipino in the California Bay Area and had heard a bit about the Iglesia Ni Cristo faith growing up. How they were very communal based and you couldnt date outside the church, had to give a certain amount of your salary. One point he makes which is very important to their believers is “all other faiths are apostate”. I dont mean to generalize but of the INC believers I’ve met they are heavily judgmental if you say you are Catholic or anything else.

This is definitely very JW. The "angel of the east"'s family is very wealthy these days, I assume. These churches are all over Vegas. Never knew what the deal was. Interesting.

6.9/10 Seem well meaning but when religion is directly tired to politics it opens a window for the corruptions of politics to enter the church. They also reject the Trinity.

Can you make a video about the Philippine Independent Church? It formed out of Independence from the Catholic Church.
