I officially quit. Was consistently a rank 1-2 player over past few years. Now I consistently finish rank 3-4. Every game feels the same and there is 0 skill gap. It’s about who gets more bouncebacks and abuses broken mechanics. Games an absolute joke.

The fact that we had better gameplay and servers in 2012 and 2013 is actually insane. It actually meant something back in the day if you could afford a rare gold aguero and Suarez, let alone Messi or Ronaldo. And good players could win division 1 with a silver team. The game is so meaningless now

I agree with everything you're saying, but I actually think the biggest problem with the game is ATTACKING AI, not defending. Elite level attackers with high attacking positioning just run offside inexplicably rather than holding their run a bit. They run into defenders. They sometimes just don't make runs at all and just stand there. It's horrible to play

Last year killed it for me....I grinded rivals and champs, and never packed any promo cards with more than 10k, and refused to buy packs with money, so then the team just becomes who you randomly get out of icon and hero roulette packs, and the few SBCs that everyone had in your team. Also the insane power curve meant you could never fall in love with a player. Past fifa you could say "man that inform mertens I packed in the second week got 1000 games and loved him etc" now you pack Alberto carlos and suddenly there's a new alberto the next week making yours obsolete

I'm 32 years old with a wife and 2 kids. I've played every fifia from FIFA 06 - 22. Back when I was younger and had a lot of time to game I played ALOT of it especially FUT from its early days when it was fucking awesome. Having a family I couldn't even play FUT if I wanted to as EA have made it impossible to have a good team unless you literally live to play the game or spend money. What I've been doing now is something I did back before FUT was a thing, and that's playing career mode and online seasons using real teams. I have to say it's probably the most fun I've had playing the series and the least stressful since those old times. I can only play some weekend nights if I have the time but to use my favorite teams and try and win division 1 is honestly really fun. Being a very casual gamer only playing once max twice a week if possible is honestly perfect for mental health and I'm always excited to log on. I only have eafc24 as it's free and I instantly find games on online seasons when I play meaning a lot of people still play it. Why? Because it's the same fucking game as 25, but I'll still download it once that's free too 😂

For me, the current state of the market and meta has killed the game. On release day, 95% of players are already unsuable. Back in Fifa 17, I was using different teams each week because 'lower tier' cards were still usable, even at the higher divisions. If I go into Division 1 with a 50k team now I will get absolutely destroyed.

Everyone has Putellas, Bellingham, Van Dijk in the first week of the game, but taking that extra step and upgrading to the top 1% of players is practically impossible. On PC half of the top cards are essentially extinct. How do EA expect us to continue playing when Griezmann costs 17k but Mbappe is 4 million...

Ultimate team has completely lost the meaning and foundation which made it popular in the first place.

The crazy thing is this is not even a EA FC only situation.
I've been playing F1 games for a couple years now, the games used to be really good especially F1 19, 20, 21.
but since EA sports bought the rights to the game and became pretty much the main developers of the F1 series, it's only been going downwards they've killed the career modes and the gameplay is horrific.
So in conclusion i think there is something fundamentally wrong with the company it self in that what ever they touch it rots to shit

FC24 was the final straw for me. This year is the first time I haven’t bought the game since Fifa 11. Now I’m just watching the chaos continue. But I hope this is the final straw for a lot of people as 24 seemed to be for many people too. The more people play, the more ea are inclined to continue their ways. Ngl I would’ve bought the game if Quaresma had a hero card this year, but it’s prob good that he didn’t.

Been playing FIFA since I was 8. I'm now 31 and it's time to call it a day. I uninstalled the game last week 👎
I refuse to believe a company as big as EA can make a game this bad by accident, it's exploitation of a loyal fanbase at the highest level.
This is one of the worst games ever made, simply because it destroys your mental health.
There needs to be a mass boycott. At the very least, everyone needs to stop spending money on the game until it's enjoyable. People enjoy watching RTG's, creators should focus that.
Nick to be fair to you, you're one of the few not afraid to call out EA on behalf of the casual so keep it up 👍
Also, for context, my mood this weekend has been so much better with no champs, so no going back as far as I'm concerned 🙌

This is the first fifa where I genuinely couldn’t be asked to play both champs or rivals which is unfortunate because I’ve always enjoyed playing the game. Gameplay has become so unenjoyable and they constantly nerf the attack while buffing the defense. Let alone the gambling system they’ve added. Yes they compensated it with a sbc grind, but many of us simply don’t have the time to grind it anymore and even if we did, your team still wouldn’t compete with those who constantly open those crazy store packs. Also, before you could get a 40-0, 30-0, and even 20-0 in fifa 21 with a team that could consist of silvers and bronzes. Now, the team can genuinely save you from a lot of BS because EA knows pay to win is the way to save their revenue YoY. It’s unfortunate but it’s the reality. There is absolutely no need to play all the rival games and champs games unless you’re getting paid for it.
