8:07 - 8:16 is the funniest thing I’ve heard in a while.

Colter sings opening line

*looks away in disbelief*

Everybody watching:
“Oh yeah man, I remember that feeling”

Like a drug I swear; I remember hearing him for the first time on “devil wears a suit and tie” like a cigar filled whiskey lounge

He was 19 yrs old when he did this live set. It is wild.

It's a murder ballad. He talks about that in several of his interviews. It's kind of a lost form of story telling. But very powerful.

I'm always jealous of people who hear Colter for the first time.

I've known Colt for a while he's amazing. Also, "Dude I think Kate might be a bit of a bitch" crippled me permanently

"The Devil Wears a Suit and Tie" is another really amazing song of his, along with "13 Silver Dollars" and "Saskatchewan 1881".

Southern country music has came back to my heart. I lost my ear for it in the early 2000s because it sounded too poppy or commercial, but these past five or six years we have had some great artists come about.

Reaction done right.
No fucking around, no random pauses, no flashing sponsors or merch, just a guy looking to, listening to and reacting to a good song. Good on you mate, got my sub.

It's rare to find someone who enjoys good country music, especially someone who's not from the U.S keep up the incredible work my friend!

It's genuinely INSANE that Colter possesses this sort of song writing ability and musical dynamics at such a young age. I can't even comprehend what he'll be doing in his 40's.

You know it’s good when you just let him tell the story, fav reaction so far

When I first heard Colter it was through audio only. So, when my husband (who showed me his music) told me he was only 23, I was taken by surprise. I thought he was at least 60! He's not just talented or has a good voice. There is a soulful depth in his multidimensional voice quite reminiscent of Johnny Cash. I'm a die hard fan now, just like for Cash.

Oh! And of course, the story telling (lyrics) in his songs combined with that voice, makes the songs instant masterpieces.

Nothin by Colter. It's a cover of a Townes van Zandt song. Amazing.. one of the best songs I've heard..

Man i love the storytelling and colter is a badass when it comes to it. Check out his song Fraulein with Tyler Childers. Beautiful. I have recently found John Moreland and he has the same feel. Check out “blacklist” or You don’t care for me enough to cry. Keep it up!
