Donkey Kong Jr. 1983 Coleco Tabletop Arcade Machine STILL WORKS!

In 1983, Coleco licensed the Donkey Kong Jr. tabletop Game & Watch from Nintendo and released it in North America. It's very unlike the other Coleco tabletops previously released, like Donkey Kong & Pac-Man. This one has a transparent skylight panel that serves to backlight a static LCD screen, but the gameplay is remarkably fun, even nearly forty years later!

This one is on loan from Video Game Rescue in Jacksonville, FL

My parents bought this for me as a Christmas present. I Kept it for years, no nicks, or wear and tear.. Starting using the alarm feature on it, so it just sat on my dresser..UNTIL, I let 1 of my favorite cousin's borrow it..We went to his house to go get it around 89'.1990..His mom said she through it in the dumpster because she thought it was trash...Man I was CRUSHED!!!!...Loved this tabletop.

Growing up my uncle had all of these. I bought this one years back & ended up trading it in at a local retro video game store. Really regretted it, these things are still super cool.

I had this as a kid and I still own it today, though it's been on my shelf for years. I did put a lot of hours on this thing when I was a kid. It was was a favorite toy from my childhood.

We're the coolest generation by far. Gen X grown up s ! 80s kids! I can remember how cool it was to have these. Put them in the backpack and play anywhere! Pass it around to friends all watching each other play like in real arcades.

I still have mine as well and it works great! I have pretty much all the table top arcades from the 80s.

That thing was a big ticket item back in the day, no doubt. The kid that brought one of those to school back in the early 80's would have been king/queen for the day.

My childhood friend got this Christmas when we were kids. Actually Nintendo Tabletop but game was same. After Y2K just had to collect all these 4: DK JR, Mario cement factory, Popeye and Snoopy. So many of these games people with destroy 80’s with their school table lamp and melt that back light window top of machine. I think design of these tabletops is so cute and colorful after Nintendo G&W games.❤

I had this game back when I was in elementary school, loved it and played it religiously! I think I still have it somewhere in my back room. I will have to look for it. I have Pac-Man and Zaxxon too.

Dope. I have one in my stash right now. I'm about to pull it out and show my grandson. Mine is in excellent condition and still works. I plan on passing it down and hopefully it gets passed down for generations.

I got this game for my 11th birthday in 1983. I played it non-stop! I also would wake up to the alarm on it every morning!

I had that as a kid and I was absolutely obsessed with it lol. Sitting as close to a lamp as I could so I can see it and just playing it for hours trying to beat my high score lol.
