Dash Cam Update

Update: Viofo has reached to me and stated that they did extensive testing on their units.
"We have taken this matter very seriously and conducted extensive testing with several units.
And I’m pleased to report that we encountered no issues. Upon reviewing the shipping timeline, we discovered that your wife's A229 Pro was among the earliest produced.
We implemented improvements last year that addressed the concerns you've raised, and we'll continue to do more violent tests to verify stability later."

Great video and findings! Honestly I really like your idea for testing in this situation and am gonna start needing to pick up two copies of dashcams for future reviews, with one to whack just like this. I know you mentioned you're done with this, but I hope that your replacement A229 Pro doesn't have this same issue.

That's crazy what your testing revealed.
I've owned 2 A129 Duo dash cams in the past and was just about to purchase the A229 Duo, but I think I'll hold off seeing their is some type of glitch.

Glad your wife is okay par. 🙏🏽Glad I returned my Viofo dashcam years ago and went with another brand. With that new brand, I had gotten into an accident where a distracted driver hit me from
the driver's side. Everything was caught on my dash cam since it's 4K including what the other driver was doing prior to hitting me. Sent the footage to the liable's insurance company and the rest was taken care of. Ingat! 🤙🏽

Thanks for the update, keep a record of your wife's condition as (knock on wood) things may pop up later and insurance needs to know. Also, for future tests, perhaps mount the dashcams on a piece of faux windshield (like a plastic board) and whack that instead. It would deliver similar G shocks without damaging the dashcam casings.
