One thing I love about this is how Anakin just does not engage with the point Palpatine is trying to make. He drops hints about how Anakin should pursue the power to save others from death and the guy is just like “hmmm yes I’ve heard of the Dark Side, that’s the one that gives you lightning fingies.”

The funny thing is, the dark side is fueled by negative emotion. Anakin being insufferable would make Sidious more powerful.
