Punjab Government Withdraws Security Cover To 424 VIPs

The Punjab government has withdrawn the security provided to 424 retired police officers and religious and political leaders. Ten personnel tasked with the security of Dera Radha Soami, Beas, have also been withdrawn.

Good initiative by Punjab govt 👍🏻. If these VIPs or VVIPs feel threatened then they can buy licenced arms themselves or hire private security. Nowadays police security has become more of a status symbol than actual threat perception .
