Subaru is probably the most ultimately perfect "human" character in an anime, and I HIGHLY doubt many people would be able to tolerate everything he goes through and keep their sanity. The guy has literally died thousands of times, all to try and keep everyone he cares for alive, and those people he is dying to try and save have NO clue he's doing it. It's a truly sad story.
