Thank you kindly for taking the time to make these videos. We are looking into buying a nice rural home with a Well and Septic system. Having lived in the subburbs most of my life I am clueless when it comes to these systems, and to be honest it's kinda scary. The thought of bacteria in the water is bad. We don't drink facet water now and if we get the home with the Well, after installing what we need to as you mentioned, we probably won't be drinking that water either. Am considering well water even though my home has municipal water supply. Basically to save $50/mo even if I use no water at all, but also as a hedge against inflation. I'm near retirement and want some protection against rising expenses, including water bill. Have any thoughts on cost comparison? Sounds like it's around $1000 to drill the well, then probably another few thousand to set up pumps, piping, and filtration system. Then based on what you said in the video, at least one new filter each month, plus occasional testing. So, maybe the end result is a wash on the costs, even long term. Seems there are other benefits, but cost saving might not be one.

I grew up in the city and was so used to city water, back when I met my husband is when I found out his house relys on well water. I moved in with him and honestly you can't tell it's well water since it doesn't smell, but with ours it makes our bathtub stained and the faucet is orange in color. I wouldn't trust drinking it though

I like to find well water source nearby to drink occasionally since city water has so much chlorine.
Any idea how to do this without looking odd?

No chlorine or other poisonous substances that the cities put into public water, that’s the best part of well water!!!

Seems to me it is quite unlikely that anyone would catch a failure in the UV system promptly as these filter systems aren't usually in a location where they are readily observable.

What got my attention from the beginning of the video was when you said the filter y’all use is good for one month…no problem …after a month you say the filter was nasty dirty. So, in ‘my’ thinking I’m realizing that during that month’s “new filter use” the new water added each time is being poured through the already filter crud from before re-adding new water…how is this healthy? Am I missing something here?
