You’ve got all the pine needles piled up completely covering g the frame.
Now cover the pine needles with hides and you’ve got a perfectly insulated teepee that won’t lose its covering when the wind blows.

It may look like nitpicking but the whole construction does not seem to be fireproof. Instead as open fire is the only source of heat in that conditions such a shelter is extremely fire hazard.
