I watched the Harmony OS presentation. It's pretty cool, it turns all of your devices into a single super-device, with your phone, tablet, PC, smart TV, etc all sharing the same task manager and being able to transfer the same game, show, app, from one device to another as needed. If you're writing an email from your PC, you can attach a file or picture from your phone or other device without having to transfer it to your PC first. You can also control all your IoT devices around the house without installing separate apps for each one. It's impressive.

HarmonyOS is much more than Apple OS because HarmonyOS is not only in smartphones, tablets and speakers but also in refrigerators, TVs, housedoor locks, car locks, and all other household appliances and all these can be connected as one and you can use either your phone, smartwatch, or tablet to direct all of them. As Huawei says, it is one as all and all as one.

Huaweii is not trying to be another apple. Harmony os is not another ios emulator. It goal is to be IOT OS that Apple and Google are trying get into. FYI, Huawei is pushing out Harmony os to older phone up to Mate 20 and P20 series. By July next year Harmony os will be available for legacy phone like Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 9 and P8 series.

You’re missing the bigger picture here Lew, no no no. Apple has multiple Operating Systems that revolve around 1 ecosystem. Huawei here, is going for 1 OS to create 1 full ecosystem. This is completely different.

Just saw a youtube where they put multiple devices running Harmony OS together (i.e. TV, Monitor, Pad, Phone all connected to same WIFI), their seamless connectivity is simply mind boggling. e.g. it know if the Pad/Phone is to the left or right of the monitor, and you can just drag files left/right accordingly, very impressive.

Apple doesn't let other devices/electronics appliances to use ios while many devices/appliances are encouraged to use HarmonyOS.
