Want to see how mangrove snapper actually feed on shrimp?

Here’s a scenario…

You’re fishing a bridge using live shrimp in hopes of getting sheepshead or snapper for dinner, but you keep feeling little tap-taps and losing your shrimp.

Sound familiar?

What do you think is happening down there?

I always thought snapper or sheepshead were stealing my bait, but after watching this video, I now know exactly what’s going on.

In this video below, you’ll learn:

- How shrimp vs. pinfish feed (and how to lose fewer shrimp)
- How to catch more snapper
- How sheepshead act underwater (which is very different than mangrove snapper)
- And much more

If you want to catch more sheepshead and snapper, check this out.

Have any questions about how mangrove snapper feed?

If Sheepshead are scared of GoPros maybe you could cover up the GoPro emblem or use a different brand name that sheeps that aren't familiar with.

That’s awesome Luke. Gives me a better idea of how to fish my artificial shrimp as well.

Great tutorial, brother! From my experience, using a drop-shot rig (used in bass fishing) is highly effective for mangrove. I don’t understand why but they move right in and hammer the shrimp-almost without thought using a size #1 gamakatsu octopus hook....another trick I use is I take a pair of tweezers and blind the shrimp by crushing the eyes in order to keep them from jumping so much....

I go to a spot in Sarasota Bay on a bridge. I limit out every time I go and I can feel the other snapper bouncing off my leader when they go into a frenzy. Every single cast on half a shrimp every time. Also, MONSTER sheepshead are n the same spot. Incoming tide only. Got 4 to 6 hours of a fire bite EVERY time. You can actually see the fish schooled up with 24 inch sheepers everywhere. Hint? Bird Key.

I love these kinds of videos. So many claims about different lures, etc. and there’s never any video showing you how fish interact with different techniques.

WOW! Amazing! I love how you explain fishing in a scientific and logical manner. I joined the membership just now, I am new to fishing but it's my obsession now. We caught two mangrove snappers inshore fishing yesterday in Venice FL and they were delicious. We had a lot of bites on live shrimp but only reeled in two, the rest didn't get hooked. Maybe my hook is too big? I am going through your videos to figure out what I did wrong lol. Watching your videos is better than going to the movies and almost as good as actually going fishing!!!
