I don't understand how you only have 75k subs, I just subbed and all your videos have production quality easily on par with the giant tech youtubers

Your movies are so calm and kind to listen to. I like the way you present the stuff. Keep doing. Congratulations.

Technics and Pioneer have been some of my favorite brands going way back to the analog-only days of the '70's.

I am very happy with the two Technics SL1200 MKII Turntables I purchased back in 1986 for $300 each. They still kick ass. Direct Drive forever !!!

Technics was my first Home theater Receiver in 1996. The Technics Turntables are Legendary especially the SL1200. All the best Dj in history use it . I Really love that limited edition one and also the setup .I enjoy this video a lot . Thank you guys, have a wonderful weekend.

Another great "not a review" video. It really comes down to equipment, I never heard a digital version of a track that sounded better than analog. Then again, I spent 5x more on my analog setup. Keep up the great work. My favourite HIFI channel for sure.

Tears coming to my cheeks remembering my 80's DJ past and how I was captured from this GE grandfather, the MKII. As I am not a Bezos relative, I'll continue to play the state lottery so I can replicate your analog dream team. Yes, guilty as charge, I simply love the SU-G700, or as my wife will say "lights, buttons and electronic gizmos, it seems you'll never grow up"

Maybe a month or two ago I got involved in a live session with Andrew and wrote something like " your videos are good but darko is doing better suggesting additional footage from the gear to be included in the videos ". I pleasantly notice that you have not only improved the vidoes but you have also included some fancy graphics which adda to the already excellent quality of the videos.

Congratulations,

Cheers from Tehran ( yes we listen to music here )

Old school Technics fan here. I have 3 of them (1980’s models) and love them all. This new model is wildly overpriced, 4K is crazy, but fair play, those who wish to buy it will pay the ticket price. Personally I just prefer the look of the old ones, but it’s good to see Technics back on the scene. Great brand.

I had a pair of 1210s back in the day, loved them. For me personally the first time you play a good recording on vinyl it just feels better to me than digital, could be the process of playing it rather than just clicking play or even a touch of nostalgia mixed in. Anyway thnx for the vids

How many turntables or any piece of audio equipment do you know had a 30+ year production run ??? That is success for you. My 34 year old Technics SL1200 MK IIs are still kicking ass !!!

Great overview of this table. A few years back, I was forced to replace my beloved SOTA Sapphire. (9” SME/Oracle 345 arm, Grado Master cartridge, Nordost cable). While lamenting its loss, the SL1200 GAE came out. I had the SL D202 back in college. Decidedly low budget, but it ran for over 35 years. So, I went for the 1200 GAE because of the wonderful experience I had with the D202. I was expecting decent sound, but nothing on par with the Sapphire. Got to say though, I have been pleasantly surprised. Its arm tracks in the grooves equally well, handling the heavy Grado cartridges I like with ease. The biggest thing is the quiet noise floor. Grado’s pick up motor and power supply hum easily. It never was a big issue for me, but it was there. That disappeared entirely when I mounted it on the GAE. The other improvement was with rumble, GAE is noticeably quieter than the Sapphire I had.
For me, the 1200 GAE has been truly a joy to own. Of course, at $4K there are other choices that rival it. Nonetheless, if someone wants a true high-end table, that is easy to setup, whose arm will work with virtually any type of cartridge, small footprint, plus bullet proof reliability. The new 1200 GAE or G is an easy recommendation. That is, if you can find one. For a table that supposedly too expensive. They sure do seem to sell out fast. With that sleek black look, I would expect no less of the 1210.

I own several quality TTs including a beautiful Kenwood KP7010 & a Linn Sondek LP12.
I would kill for this turntable, my god that's a thing of beauty!

Just manage to buy one of the few SL1210GAE’s left in the UK with the Nagaoka JT-1210 cartridge.
It replaces my old Mk2, so hopefully a big step up.
