What I love most about this show is that sexuality is almost never a discussion topic. Usually when something LGBTQ happens in shows, they make it a topic of conflict, but in American Dad it is just a very normal thing. Sure, it is the source of jokes but in most cases, they don't call people stupid names or create a big drama when someone who comes off as heterosexual does something not-so-straight.
