All I can picture while listening to this song is my own character after she has an awakening from her internal battles and struggles of walking and living in a darkness of her past. It's like this song is her mind set of quite literally going back home to her parents and continuing the battle she has been facing, but no longer being on the "evil" side.

All I can picture while listening to this is my character (a nephilim witch with a demonic blood curse) fighting with her inner demons, trying to live up to her parents' expectations, bottling up her emotions and letting sorrow, rejection and pain pile up inside of her, in order to be the strong soldier she's expected to be. And, in the end, she decides that she had "fought the war, and it's time to home", decides to give up fighting her dark side and to become the monster they all hated so she can be free.
