Hi was recently asked by an old “date” to get brunch. I got super excited, so embarrassing. Last time we spoke they were already in a relationship but I help raise funds for stray animals in Mexico and they donated some funds. When we got to the restaurant he then started to explain why he wanted to meet, he wanted to “reconnect” with people. Looks like his gf moved to Washington and they’re having a long distance relationship. I’ve realized I’m usually the person who texts them first. PS I’ve never ever got intimate with them in any way, no kissing or holding hands as well. But I recently discovered
I developed feelings for them and wanted to cut off the friendship. They wanted to stay friends. But my bday came up, they didn’t show up as my friend. It hurt me so much. Then I realized that I still have feelings for them and feel like they’re only ok with being friends with me it’s because I’m being a place holder just Incase their relationship doesn’t work out.
