Fun fact about Norway's antarctic dependencies, the Peter I Island and Queen Maud Land is subject to Antarctic Treaty, which means no military activities is allowed there, only scientific activities allowed.

Bouvet Island is located in subantarctic region, so it's not subject to the Antarctic Treaty.
