I lost my 14 year old dog this spring, right around the time I discovered this song. She was a mini-dachshund, a tiny girl, and the piano reminds me of her little, prancing footsteps. I have listened to this song hundreds of times since then, and it always makes me smile while my eyes fill with tears. It is a masterpiece. It is a thread in the musical fabric of my soul. But to me, the song is called Penny.
