While there is no conclusive study that shows just how many foods contain GMOs and will have to carry the new label, the reality is that almost anything with corn or soybeans will carry the label.

Refined sugars and oils simply have no remnants of the original plants they were extracted from and are all chemically identical regardless of the breeding methods used in the parent plants. Obviously we don't need labels for refined products, duh! Rather than pick and choose what is marked under the new law, it would be fine to just put the QR code on all labels including organic products. It is simply a link to the maker's site. There will be a perios where the "Fear Mongering Certified' labels continue to be used but I predict consumers will get hip to what is going on, that they pay a premium for any food with that licensed label. It's a woo tax and a total waste of money regarding a non-existent ingredient.
