1986 Toyota AE86 - The AE85 to AE86 conversion

A teaser video where I introduce you to a rather special Toyota Corolla. This 1986 Toyota AE85 is one of only two known AE86-chassis in South Africa. Starting out its life as a luxury spec AE85, Miggz has set about converting the AE85 to AE86 spec and while not done yet, I got a chance to drive it, mid-way through its conversion phase.

8mm pipework from pump to the intake should get the job done, but if you're planning on tuning it, you need 10mm.
The A blocks are pretty much the same, you could have retained the 3A alternator, A/C and power steering and engine mounts without having to re-route piping and wiring.
For manifold you could have cut the original manifold down to just the plate, and weld your own with a MIG.

In the states it’s hard to find a genuine USDM GTS AE86 it’s rare only the SR5 85 lying around but one you can make your own 86
