Meeting Danny Carey from TOOL

When I was in Los Angeles, I was so happy that I got to meet the legend himself, Danny Carey from TOOL! This day will not be possible without my friend Joy Baumann, the amazing owners of The Grape Ventura and the incredible Jazz musician Doug Webb! All of them came together to make this special moment happen for me. I was so nervous meeting him and I am still nervous even now when I watch this video. This is the first legend from TOOL that I am meeting and he is so kind and such a nice person. He is always smiling and happy! He gave me a signed drum head and I also got a chance to have a quick chat with him. It's such a special unforgettable day!

If I was this nervous to meet Danny Carey, can you imagine how much more nervous I will be when I get to meet Adam Jones? My nerves will be off the chart and I can't wait!

Danny is seriously the the nicest, most kind hearted soul that anyone could meet ever and that’s half of why he is my hero and inspiration in drums. That is awesome he gave and signed that drum head for u and u def deserve that as well, Maya. Glad that ur trip to the states and L.A. went well with nothing but smiles and good vibes with great people/musicians and with no hiccups or scary incidents….it’s Los Angeles so nuff said there lol.
