Some of Our Favorite Travel Videos We Think Other Travelers Would Love

Our Travel Gear:
Microsoft Surface, Travel Laptop: We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

Camera Sony Alpha Series: We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.

Western Dynamics 4 TB external hard drive. This let's you save your pictures and videos from your SD cards while you travel without having to use a computer.

Manfrotto Tripods: We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

Our Packs/Luggage: Want to grab some great gear? We have used Osprey Packs for years & swear by them. Check them out here

Need some clothing for your next adventure? Patagonia has some pretty good stuff for all kinds of travelers.

Watching this video from... Avignon (I'm french) ! The university of Avignon is also reaaaally nice to see. You can rent a car to visit Orange (30min), with his Théâtre Antique and Arc de Triomphe :)
Merci pour cette vidéo !

I LOVE your enthusiasm and ‘child-like’ wonder you express! While still being objective and smart about travel essentials. This make me want to go to Avignon even more than before! Thank you!

Excellent! I didn't know Avignon was a great place to be at Christmas. Looks like there's a Christmas market too. I loved seeing pix of you with your family!

I loved Avignon, it is a truly beautiful city and the people were really nice to me and my friends. My friends and I played like the French version of Ring Around the Rosie on the bridge.

We use to stop over regularily in Avignon when driving from Germany to Barcelona. Really love the town and the area as such, besides Avignon so much to see like Pont du Gard, Uzès, Saint Rémy de Provence, Les Baux du Provence, next time is Arles on our bucket list. Thanks for sharing, great video.

I've been to Avignon twice. I agree that the Palais des Papes is really cool, architecturally, but rather meh if you are expecting medieval decorated rooms. I love the area surrounding Avignon. Easy drives! And there is AMAZING food. 🤤 I'm drooling just thinking if it. The smells of herbs and lavender. The sound of cicadas (even the fake ones in the souvenir shops) . . . Ahhhh! Provence! ❤️ (We travelled from Paris to Lyon on the TGV to visit a friend THEN took the train into the central Avignon station. Perfect!)

I was born in Avignon, thank you for your review, I love my city, but you forgot the University of Avignon, which was before st Marthe hospital I was born there. The Sainte-Marthe hospital was founded by a lawyer, Bernard Rascas, in 1353. Entrusted to the Trinitarians from its creation, it became, from the 15th century, the main hospital in Avignon. The Sainte-Marthe hospital closed definitively in 1994, and the buildings is now Avignon University.

Getting off the main track is rarely difficult for me. I do this by getting lost. Getting back on the main track is more a thing.

The bus from the tgv station to the old part of town only takes 15 min, so no big deal

I hope you time your visit to experience the _mistral_ --a killer of a wind, especially if you experience it in the winter and if it lasts for days. It's great in July, when the temps are up in the mid-90s (°F ~ 35 °C). Go to the Rocher des doms, look out over the Rhône, and get blown away. I laughed when I first read about Avignon "suffering" from wind. But if you catch it lasting for over a week in late January/early February, it will beat you into the ground. 💙🤍❤⚜🗝🗝🗝✝

Thanks Mark, for the trip on the way-back machine. I was hoboing Europe in '96 and popped into Avignon for an afternoon. My base was Nice. Yep, bit of a trip but nice when you have the time and unlimited Europass. 3 take-aways for me. Pope's palace. Colder than a witches t*t but interesting. The bridge to nowhere. Very pretty. And the great vanilla shake I got from the Mcdonald's near the merry-go-round. To this day I dream of the shake. One day I'll go back but at the moment I live on Grenoble st. Thanks again.
