2024 Belgian Grand Prix: Preview and Predictions

This weekend, F1 is in Belgium for the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix – the final race before the sport takes its annual summer break. Who will come out on top at Spa-Francorchamps? Can Max Verstappen take his first win in 3 races? Or could McLaren make it 2 wins on the bounce? In this week’s preview, I take a look at the circuit, talk tyres and make some predictions. Plus, no point system change, Binotto is back and Alpine reveal special Deadpool and Wolverine livery!

one thing i have noticed this season is most of the teams cars are running close times to each other except for Red Bull, either Perez is having a stinker or his car is not as fast as his team mates.

This track is similar to silvestone so a mercedes track and Lewis has been in incredible form find it very hard to have both mclarens above him and max who as a grid penalty, can see this being a lando and lewis duel

Took me a second to notice it but the quick cut to krack in the intro was hilarious

Alpine seems like a chaotic environment Renault hiring and firing executives every 5 minutes and having trouble finding someone to drive their car but it has to be said that their liveries are at the top of the game. In every series lately their cars look amazing. Give that design team a raise. (Also the on track crew has been turning around some super reliable and quick pit stops lately so props to them.)

Russell has kind of disappeared a little bit over the last few races so I predict that at Spa he gets his mojo back and his car holds together and he is up there fighting with Max trying to keep him out of 3rd. It's possible.

Red Bull are so confident that they will take P1 & P2 in Spar, this weekend, that they have no problem, letting Max take a major grid penalty,

I've not seen many people joke about Max needing a can of Red Bull before the race after staying up all night sim racing. Everyone from Sky to F1 YouTubers seems to have missed this opportunity.
