The Elgato Wave Mic Arm is a robust boom arm designed to hold any microphone you have. Compatible with 1/4, 3/8, and 5/8-inch mic mounts, Wave Mic Arm works right out the box with microphones weighing between 250 g / 0.55 lbs and 1,000 g / 2.2 lbs. It works great with my SHURE SM7B!

The big and long intro actually sold me. That exactly what I wanted to know since I have a fairly wide desk. Thank you!

Very helpful video. I really liked that you covered pretty much everything to do with the mic, gave multiple options for how to set it up, and even lesser priced options to consider if your budget doesn’t allow you to buy this one.

3:51 Buy an 'Extension Tube for Desk Stands'. It extends that part a few inches so you can twist it around 360. Yes, I know you shouldn't have to buy it but it's the solution you're looking for. (Old video I know but my answer is relavant for anyone thinking of buy this mic arm.)

I actually got the low profile a few months ago and hated it. But had given my other boom arm to a friend.

Bought the Blue compass and found out the Wave:3 was too light for it.

Returned it and ordered this one. I’m really excited to use it.

My only complaint about the arm is the packaging, there's nothing to protect the arm from the side you open it up from and I had a few scuffs on mine that didn't buff out but still an amazing product and arm very happy with my purchase!

Nice video brother. How has that mic arm held up over the years?

Is the pin that fits into the holder on the countertop made of plastic? O_O

I ordered it today because the innogear didn't fit in my desk.... and I also loved the wave arm design and I have a shure mv7 so being lightweight, it was a concern for me

Thanks. I'm interested in the low profile.

I just received mine today. I like it a lot. I'm going to use it with 600-750gr microphones. Some time ago I bought another much cheaper brand and it was really bad.

But I wanted to ask if it is normal for the first part of the arm to be so hard. In your video I see that you move it very easily. And mine is too hard to extend horizontally. Thanks.

I have a samson g track pro, it is a 780g bulky boy, this bulky should support it no problem, right?

Bad English incoming:

I just bought a Blue Compass. But I'm using the "Roccat Torch" mic, in comes in with a weight of around 300 gram.
So the Blue Compass right now, can't hold it, it just go straight up all the time, with a small force. it takes 1-3 sec before it pull ups about 5-10 cm.

I can see it can take 250 grams, because of the counter weight. Can you please confirm for me, that is real.
Like it works, and you can completely free move it around, and every time it also stays after you release the hand from it?
