I met a limo driver that drove Trump around for hours one day. At the end he offered the driver a dollar tip. The guy declined it and told Trump that he needed more than he did. Later the driver found out that Trump called his manager and tried to have him fired for it. This was many years ago, but obviously, people don't change much.

In 2017, corrupted officials in Fort Worth, Texas separated my family while threatening me to stop writing about politics. I’m a historian & it is our job to fight authoritarians trying to rewrote history. Here in Texas, the GOP attacks historians by terrorizing our children while threatening us to stop writing about politics. We have been trying to sound the alarm and let those in our country know what the GOP is capable of doing in the most populated red county in the nation. If this is what they can do to our families here in Texas, than this is what these authoritarians would want to do to those across the country. We can’t let such corrupted people that terrorized my family ever be in charge of our country ever again. Those who terrorized my family here in Texas need to be held accountable for their crimes against us.

This has had me stumped for years. How can Americans yell about their free-dumb! while voting for people like Desantis, who actually bans books?
