It's quite remarkable the amount of information that is processed during an FPS game like CSGO. We have to keep track of so much information - This is in essence, our awareness.

Ron, you should definitely go in-depth on situational awareness or awareness in general. Break down a scenario where a player receives a lot of information and processes it in literally a couple seconds.

Awareness in games is something I always try to keep in check, but oftentimes I mess up. Hopefully not as much anymore. Thank you.

I agree with the core message, but one point rankled me. Mechanics should be practiced to the point of mindless automation - that way you can focus 100% on processing situations / creative problem solving in-the-moment.

In other words, if your mechanics aren't good enough to flawlessly implement without thinking, then they aren't good enough and you need to practice more. Thinking that it's okay in some situations to focus solely on mechanics can seriously weaken people's progression at mid to high levels.

(That doesn't mean mechanics aren't important - they're the most important thing in any game. It just means that you should never spend your time in a match thinking about execution at all)

Keep going. My friends and I started a team, and this for sure helps. Do you have any good way to practice visualization?
