With summer just around the corner, Jennifer Lopez has announced that she is canceling her This Is Me… Live summer tour to spend time with her family.

Trust me... Nobody just ups and cancels a tour considering all the work that goes into it (Not to mention dancers, crew losing jobs etc). She did this because Live Nation was going to lose money and professionally that was the right thing to do. She's just not Beyoncé or Taylor Swift. The interest simply isn't there to see her live in huge arenas. If she's smart she'll take the time to focus on her family and maybe repair her relationship.

Say what you want about Taylor Swift, and I'm getting pretty tired of her myself, but she is a talented songwriter who has written or co-written most of her songs, in addition to writing songs for other artists. And while the extent of her vocal talent may be arguable, she's always sung LIVE from the very beginning and was always at least a decent singer and guitarist. J.LO, on the other hand, really only managed to get a recording contract because of the success of the film "Selena" (in which she didn't even actually sing). She admittedly could barely even sing when she got her first record deal, and many of the vocals you hear in her songs aren't even her. I mean she's in there somewhere but most of the great singing is by studio session singers or other recording artists. And most of her live performances were lip-synched. So J.Lo really didn't get where she got through musical talent.
