So I’m not Muslim, but when my then boy friend now husband (just celebrated 17 years of marriage) and I were going to meet each others families. He came from a realllly small family. I have a large family. His expression was similar when I asked if you want names. I had to draw him a family tree basically 😂😂😂 still has some issues from time to time. But hey they try right?

Those who didn’t understand, I can help you with Bengali words for relatives:

A) Grandparents:
Nana=Maternal Grandfather
Nani= Maternal Grandmother
Dada=Paternal Grandfather
Dadi= Paternal Grandmother

2)Uncles and Aunts:
Chacha= Brother of Father
Chachi= Wife of Chacha
Mama=Brother of Mother
Mami= Wife of Mama
Khala= Sister of Mother
Khalu= Husband of Khala
Phuphu= Sister of Father
Phupha= Husband of Phuphu

These words are normally used by Bengali Muslims. Bengali Hindus use almost same but slightly different system.

I totally relate to this!! Lol! My big Italian family vs. my husband's tiny African American family. 20 years together and he still doesn't know all their names!!!

I can totally relate to this. I’m a revert Aussie who married a Pakistani. I was so confused at first but once you know all the names at least you know how everyone is related to you.

Oh my goodness this is amazing! 😂 My dad is white and my mom is latin so As you can tell it was much like this when it came to going to family functions(the white side being small & the bigger being🥴)

Then when I was dating a Pakistani woman😅 I got this all over again 😵‍💫

Mashallah! It's hilarious and great to have so much family! I relate to your husband when It comes to meeting everyone 🤭

Keep up the great content! 🌟
