More specifically and clearly, Aram was Shem's SON, and Aram was Noah's GRANDSON. However, the narrator is correct in stating, or associating Aram as the progenitor, or father of the Syrians, a Semitic people. (See Genesis Chapter 10: Verse 22 in the Bible) The Aramaic (ancient Semitic language closely related to Hebrew, but younger) expressions are derived from Aram, namely "Paddan-Aram [means 'flatlands' of Syria], " and "Aram-Nahar-aim [means 'Syria of the Two Rivers, ' " namely the Tigris and Euphrates in Syrian Mesopotamia.] As for Abraham, he was a descendant of Aram's brother "Arpachshad, " the latter generally associated as being the progenitor of the "Chaldeans, " by many archaeologists. Abraham's origin (place of birth and original residence) was as the Bible states, "Ur of the Chaldeans" in ancient southeastern Iraq's Tigris-Euphrates Valley.

As for Syria's capital city of Damascus (one of the oldest cities in the world, older than the ancient Egyptian city of "Zoan"), and though destroyed as mentioned in the video, unlike ancient Babylon, the capital city of the Neo-Babylonian Empire, Damascus was rebuilt and still exists TODAY as the Syrian capital; whereas God's eternal condemnation and judgement on ancient Babylon and its ruins (located in modern day Iraq southwest of its capital Baghdad, on, or near the Euphrates River); indicated that Babylon would never be rebuilt or inhabited by Arabs or any other human race again; though former Iraqi president and dictator Saddam Hussein tried to, but failed to rebuild Babylon; and Isaiah's prophecy at Isaiah Chapter 13: Verses 19-22 proved true and accurate; and that God's foreknowledge and foresight is unerring.

Isaiah Chapter 46: Verses 9 and 10 in the Bible says "[... Remember former things of the past, for I am God, and none else (is) God, and none like Me, [10] declaring the end from the beginning, and from the past those things which were not done, saying, 'My purpose shall rise; and, I will do all My desire;] ...'
