Professor and Political Management Program Director at the George Washington University whose research and writing focuses on the mass media and presidential campaign, Dr. Todd Belt, joins to give his take on the interview last night with Harris and Walz and whether Harris gave enough details on how she plans to fix issues like inflation and the border. Dr. Belt discusses the optics of the interview and how it looked to people watching at home. This was Harris' first major interview since moving to the top of the Democratic ticket more than a month ago. Dr. Belt shares whether not doing more interviews is a smart strategy and if he were advising the campaign whether he would want them to do more interviews or fewer. He is also an expert on presidential debates. Dr. Belt explains whether last night gave any clues to how Vice President Harris or Governor Tim Walz will handle their debates against their Republican counterparts.

Kamala Harris is our best choice. These commentators are trying to be fair, but are nitpicking instead of telling us something substantial and balanced. We watched the interview and feel much more comfortable with level-headed Harris and Walz. Over the years Trump has disgraced our nation, veterans and women. As a family of veterans (men and women) who have served this country proudly, and have sacrificed a great deal, we will support Harris in November.
