I am using P40 Pro 5G for 3 years and upgraded to S23 ultra.

I can say that P40 Pro to this day is still rocking it! Battery performance and especially face recognition is still much better in P40 pro.
I can only imagine what would happen to Apple and Samsung if the google ban is lifted from Huawei.

Great content. The winner is actually these new powerful Qualcomm for making these excellent chips. I love Huawei but had to go with the Honor Magic 5 Pro. Huawei will always be by favorite brand.

Let's be practically honest if Huawei wasn't banned by the US we would be speaking a different language in terms of the performance that Huawei would have brought to the table I still believe Huawei is going to surprise us and will regain it title as number one

Performance is better on the S23U but that is expected as it has a newer chip and 50% more RAM. The difference wasn’t enough to be close to being deal-breaking, so maybe the cameras would be the deciding factor? Sadly, I feel that they each have pros and cons and no quantifiable winner there. Prices are similar, both can be had cheaper with deals, e.g. the Huawei has £150 off at the moment plus some gifts.

2023 is a strange year as many flagship phones are equitable, with none standing out as a no-brainer. I suppose that having a decent chip made by TSMC (Samsung sacked) that is expected. I assume the next iPhone and Pixel will also be close so Phone of the Year is more about brand loyalty and personal preference than any definable difference. Is that a sign of a very mature market for candy bar phones? Where consumers cannot really go wrong?

Thanks for comparasion, this video is what i needed for deciding. I could not decide week ago, but now Im buying p60 Pro Because it looks like much more interesting phone to use than s23, design is on next level, camera is just amazing, and its so compact for holding, slightly overal better small advantages, its better optimized for rendering videos and photos even with weaker chipset. I dont mind its little slower than samsung

We hace to take note, the samsung use UFS 4.0 and huawei use UFS 3.1 that help a lot when we open an App and that is the speed of the storage, because de CPU and GPU yo use it more when you are using the app.
