AOC: Billionaires are a Symptom of a SICK Society

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a short Instagram essay yesterday outlined that we have to stop talking about Billionaires being good or bad people, and instead look at how Billionaires cannot exist alongside economic, social, and environmental justice. As she notes, billionaires may not be morally bad people, but their wealth can only come alongside systems that hurt poor people, working class people, and racialized people, and need to be challenged. This is the best and most productive way to talk about billionaires if we want to be build a better world

It's actually a form of hoarding, and they should be viewed the same as people with mountains of rotting garbage in their homes - except it's far worse, and it's actually shameful, because those trash hoarders are usually only hurting themselves, while billionaires are hurting the whole world.

Even if we took all the billionaires money they would have it all back in less than 7 years. Now if we change the laws we may slow that down a bit.
