I am making an app where I want to capture the events based on the month and year. So when I click on the back/forward arrow button to change the month, I want to capture that particular month & date. I could not find anything yet that can capture months without selecting any dates from the calendar. Could anyone please help me with this?

I'm working on a time keeping app for employees and have been trying to come up with something with ion-datetime for it.

I'd like to have the calendar displayed on the employees home page and have them able to select a date and then enter the hours worked for that day with a modal that pops up. After submitting, the modal will disappear and display hours worked below the calendar based on what day is selected on the calendar. Hopefully that made sense.
I have just about everything else done for this app, but just can't figure out a good way for this.

So if you could go over anything to do with that, that would be amazing!
