TBM 'Tianma Island No. 1'

The tunnel shield section of this water system connection project spans about 8,000 meters, with an average rock hardness of an impressive 180 MPa. The project presents challenges due to its extensive rock hardness, long jacking distance, and complex technical conditions. In response, Tangxing Technology's R&D team crafted the tailored shield hard rock tunnel boring machines "Tianma Island No. 1" and "Tianma Island No. 2". The "Tianma Island No. 1" hard rock tunnel boring machine boasts a 4.41-meter excavation diameter, 95 meters in length, and a total weight of 380 tons. It is tasked with excavating approximately 4,000 meters of the tunnel shield section. This equipment not only integrates modern hard rock tunnel boring machine technology but also innovatively employs advanced techniques like multi-section composite shield bodies, honeycomb segment assembly, and multi-mode filling. These advancements enable it to effectively excavate tunnels in hard rock formations, achieving modularization, miniaturization, strong rock-breaking capability, excellent safety, and high efficiency.

Upon completion, the project will play a pivotal role in addressing local water supply needs, providing high-quality water sources for the communities along the route. This initiative will significantly enhance local water supply security and elevate the living standards of the residents, contributing meaningfully to social development. Simultaneously, this project serves as yet another testament to Tangxing Technology's dedication to serving livelihood projects.
