Now this gets me excited!! I’ve used VARA on a laptop running Linux and Wine, but didn’t think it was possible on the RPi because of the different CPU architecture. Maybe now I can dump the laptop for the smaller and lighter Raspberry Pi.

Thanks for sharing the news on this! Looks like Pi-4's are nowhere to be found, currently, unless you're willing to pay almost as much as a full PC. Saw that Pi-3B is on the list for future development for this project... any idea if it'll be sooner than later? On a related note, don't have a source for affordable Pi-4's do you? I have VARA and RMS Express working on my Pi 4B. However, The beta version of Pat isn't keying the PTT of my FT891 when I link it to VARA. I made the config change for VARA mentioned on the Pat beta site.

Is VARA running under some windows emulator? We have been trying to get the guy that makes VARA to work on a native Linux version.

I didn't realize they were that hard to come by. I may have a spare 4gig and 8gig
