After coming to understand certain things, all the trials that I go through now even gives me more joy. This is not to say that I love the pain or anything but rather that, the trust I have in God and the understanding that He(God) allows those trials to come my way for a reason, and the fact that everything He does is best, just the thought of that fills my heart with joy. The little chance I get, I try to encourage others too to trust God no matter what. I fought back when I experienced the fire 🔥 .I hated it every minute. But as time went by, He somehow lulled me to be patient and not fight back and be desperate. The fire 🔥 is still on, maybe even increasing a couple of degrees and I can myself see the dross that's surfacing. Indeed it is, so He can see His own image in me. Hanging by a thread every minute but still trusting. Though much of what I go through does not make sense, I prefer to sit, wait and watch the Refiner and not take my eyes off Him. Hey SaMonna ... Loved your parable about _The Man and the Metal._ What came to mind as you talked about being in the crucible and the fire of affliction is that we all go through the fire one way or another. Either we remain in God's loving hands as He takes us through the fire of affliction so that we come out as pure gold, or we walk away from the Lord and suffer the fire which will come at the end of time (the second death). It's one or the other and WE get to choose -- one purifies while the other ends in utter destruction. The Clark Sisters have a classic song, "Pure Gold" that fits this topic very well.🕊️
