BF3 Strategy Guide = Perfection!

In this rant and review of Prima's brand new Battlefield 3 Collector's Edition strategy guide, I discuss what I like so much about this product and why more strategy guide authors should pay attention and take notes. Nothing angers me more than strategy guides for multiplayer games that begin with and focus so much on the linear, easy-to-beat singleplayer campaigns. This guide positions multiplayer and co-op before the campaign, a brilliant move that places the most important information right at your fingertips from the get-go without having to work your way to the very back of the guide. It also features useful information about the game's weapons, vehicles, perks, maps, and more. Great job, David Knight and Sam Bishop from Prima Games! You've written one Hell of a strategy guide that I'm proud to have on my shelf.

@ChuckThePug No advertisement here. From one gamer to the next, this is one of the best strategy guides I've ever had for a multiplayer shooter. It absolutely blows Battlefield 2's guide out of the water.

This video's main purpose was to let folks know exactly how much they focused on the multiplayer side of things because most strategy guides put singleplayer first and foremost. That's why I covered that for several minutes and made sure to even show how thick that part of the guide is versus the rest. If my video started with the 3 minute mark you're telling people to jump to, they wouldn't get the important message that comes first: This guide is all about multiplayer, not singleplayer.

@NextGamerPro Battlelog already shows most of this information. I just like having it by my side so that I can pull it out in-game to check on weapon stats, the description of perks, how many kills I need for certain attachments, etc. It doesn't ruin any surprises at all.

if i had one and if my team is spawn trapped i would get out that book and find locations to move and cap bases

@eiufrank I certainly don't need a guide to play. I win more often than I lose and my stats prove that. I just really enjoy the information it provides without me having to surf the web and the rundown of all the weapons, vehicles, and maps. It's structured and presented so well, it's better to me than any Wiki or website out there at this time. Better yet, I can quickly find information without having to fucking alt+tab out just to do so!

@DoctaDreChronic I found mine at Books-A-Million. Stores like WalMart most likely won't carry it. You can always order it online, too, from somewhere like Amazon.
