The problem with this is it essentially talks about the west or Europe only not Christianity. Christianity was born in the middle east and was more prevalent in the Middleast and Africa (north and east) before fully being embraced across Europe.

The west is essentially Greek-Roman Byzantine culture that was imported across Europe, via their form of Christianity i.e Catholicism.
