Montana's Iconic Glaciers Could Disappear by 2030
“Glacier National Park, located on the US-Canada border in Montana, is one of the jewels of the US parks system. Spanning more than one million square acres of protected wilderness, the park is home to magnificent ice formations and 37 named glaciers. Well, it was.”

The Global Impacts of Rapidly Disappearing Arctic Sea Ice
“The news last week that summer ice covering the Arctic Ocean was tied for the second-lowest extent on record is a sobering reminder that the planet is swiftly heading toward a largely ice-free Arctic in the warmer months, possibly as early as 2020.”

Hey, here's a thought. When the Greenland ice sheet melts, ocean levels will rise and the 25% of the world's population that lives in coastal cities will need a new place to live... how about Greenland? It will have all of that new real estate, fertile glacier free soil and a balmy coast. Make Greenland Green Again.
(yes, I'm being sarcastic)

My son works at JPL and explained global warming to me in detail. We are near the "tipping point", that's scary.

I love how it went from global warming to climate change. They realized just how full of it they were and had to back peddle somehow. The planet goes through cycles of warming and cooling. We have no idea how fast or how slow it happened over the history of the planet. Data we can collect doesn't even scratch the surface. Planet Earth will find a way to balance itself. Whether humans will be here to witness it doesn't matter.

Isn’t the location in northern Canada a floating ice sheet??
If it’s mass is already in the ocean then when it melts won’t it take up less space lowering sea level????

I was reading stuff for my video and came to know that cold war era made both nation develop some of the most badass aircrafts till date including super spying airplanes.
Some of them were so ahead of their time their need was no longer felt after the tension ended.

Wouldn't it be cool if they convert the maps into VR environments for people to explore and or build things from?
