Why there's no BRAS in Star Wars

There's not underwear in Star Wars and here's the weird explanation to why...

The funniest part to me is that George said it so quickly and with such confidence that Carrie immediately knew he wasn't being a horndog and was all "okay." Lmfao.

Pretty sure being a filmmaker myself, he was looking at the costume and knowing the bras of the past - it probably just stuck out too much. Now I'm not saying that's a for sure thing, but a possibility because there are times where a bra won't work for some costumes and an actress would have to wear tape or something different to cover up.

But that's just the first thing that came to mind, maybe the reasoning was more kinky or maybe it was more practical. Just saying, there are sometimes actual reasons behind this choice. Though I do not buy the "there's no undergarments in space" that doesn't make sense.

George Lucas ACTUALLY said there was no undergarments in space (for both men and women). In the lore, Star Wars clothing is supposed to have built in support. No need for separate undergarments underneath. It's all built into your pants or shirt.

For example, Clone Troopers and Storm Troopers wear a one piece body suit that has all the support built in.

Reminds of a character named Mary from the Star Wars Marvel comics. Look up *Star Wars 89 I'll See You in the Throne Room* and you'll see how far they took the "no bra rule" without letting it get too graphic.

The bra was just too visible in the dress but instead of telling Carrie that George was a troll about it. Or she did not just accept it until he made up a reason. She was high while they were filming after all.
