The way she actually gave her youngest 3 as requested instead of telling him to come back for more when he’s finished with 2 warms me so much.

I agree it’s a parent's job to watch their child's diet and not encourage being greedy + wastage or overeating for health purposes, but there's something wholesome in watching a mother giving a child exactly the amount he asked for.

my family does something similar. we will cook dinner and lay it out in the kitchen buffet style then whoever cooked will loudly proclaim that dinner is ready. then kids get served from youngest to oldest with the older kids helping the younger kids. then the adults. then we all go sit at the dinner table and eat. y'all, if you can, family dinner most every night is fantastic for family bonding. 10/10
