I had a similar problem on my first attempt last night.  Make sure you set the work planes correctly in the right direction.  Click 'set work plane', hoover the cursor over the reference point and use the tab key to change to the direction, click to set and then additional reference points will line to that work plane. Hope this helps!

Truly amazing video and method of figuring out the math to get those parameters to work. I was amazed when I saw the tutorial thumbnail and just had to click on it but doubted that it would be fully explained within the 14 minute period, but it was and you explained it so well. Really amazing job.

I had a couple questions though.

1. Where in the world did you learn to use parameters like that? Seriously I was so shocked on how well you manipulated them and would like to learn.

2. Could you explain some of the math especially the parts where cosine and sine are involved?

3. How did you come up with the idea of doing that particular design for this covered walkway?

4. Where did you learn to use revit families to the extent shown on the video?

Thanks for the video . Really helpful . But i have a doubt. Im using revit 2016. I m not able to change the direction of work plane in the reference point . But when you were setting work plane in the reference point (2:18 - 2:21) you were allowed to select the work plane in four directions? But im restricted to apply in single direction. Can u help me?

when i get to moving the center point of the object with the i integer the object does not move but the point does... thoughts?

a total legend does not change "i" parametr 1, 2, 3, 4 :(

Thank you for the tutorial. (using Revit 2015) I have a doubt at the end of the process. I did not download this plug-in and copied the elements by hand after loading the unit into the second family. I don't know wether this is the problem, but the program does not assign a different integer number for each element in parameter "i". Therefore formula for angle doesnt work. I have to select one element by one and give a different integer number to make rotate the elements. How can I assign a different "i" parameter authomatically? What can I be doing anything wrong?

Does this have to be in meters? Also, did you create a formula or is the formula you used a generic formula that is used to create the curved parametric model?
