For people reliving the past, it's really important to learn to live in the present with God, not the future, because that may never come, Jesus says to live in the present, and one of the tools of the narcissist is future faking. God doesn't do that of course, and hope for tomorrow with God is important. Living in the here and now for traumatized, emotionally wounded people is critical as avoiding the present by either the past or the future, Claiming, praying God's promises in HIS word for today is a good place to start.
