Good to see i'm not the only one not so impressed with the Ubiquiti RMA process. I sent a Edge router lite for RMA, it has been 22days so far. I got confirmation that it has been processed, hopefully the new one is in the mail. Had to RMA a switch with Netgear, not only did the switch have lifetime warranty, they had a new one at my door in 1 business day and prepaid to ship the old one back. Talk about great support.

Bought 5 for our company's branch locations, and love them. Pair them with the USG, and AP and you have a centrally controlled network.

Really nice review. I am in the process of replacing my out-dated Cisco switches, and its interesting to see how the mid-segment has plenty of capabilities. TP-Link and Ubi has become rock solid alternatives especially in this class.

Great video Chris, I’m installing a 16 port Unifi POE switch next week and this video has been a great introduction. I too want all 3 green bubbles 👍😀

Chris you already have a video showing how to set up a switch, USG, Cloud Key and AP together, which is a great video. But what I wanted to see is how to set up those devices, plus install openVPN on that set up and have a dedicated VLAN for all UniFi Protect cameras/surveillance and be able to access the camera feeds/alerts through the VPN when I am not home.

I started using Unifi/Ubiquity devices ever since I moved in to an older house about a year ago, and ever since never again had I have Network connectivity issues, the the devices are easy to configure and just work, Most importantly I didn't have to brake the bank...

Hello! I wanna know whether you can use EdgeRouter X SFP instead of my default ISP router? I have single mode(SC) fiber coming from the ISP.

Thank you for the info. I am going to install an AP Pro in my living room, one in my basement gym and one in my garage . I will also add cameras in the future .
Should I install one switch in my basement rack where my hitron modem is, , and a second in my garage, as I’m going to have an AP, plus three cameras and a hard wired lan to my computer also in the garage?
I’m only assuming these switches can be cascaded . I will have enough conduit space to run multiple cat 6 cables if necessary, but I’m not sure which way would be best or cause the least amount of issues .
Also, can you use other companies cameras and nvr’s with Ubiquiti switches ?

I work in a school environment and I think, but maybe I'm wrong, that it could be nice to have an overview of all the switches of the school, in the one controller.
the things we need to be able to configure is:
VLans
STP (for when students or staff, make a loop)
QoS for Voice
I guess that all those things can be done with the Unify Switch or why would we take the EdgeSwitch?
Configurating switches is not our daily thing. So for us its important when there is for instance a loop, we can fast see where the problem is.

Thank you for your videos. Do I need internet service from an ISP to create my LAN on the Unifi switch? If so how? Also, it's not adopting without the internet as well. How do I get it to adopt without the ISP?

My Switch seems to be DOA to. But after a feeled minute the lamps are going and everything is fine.
