Every year in the spring we start receiving pictures from clients of areas on their property that did not make it through the winter months. They ask us "what’s the best way to make repairs so that we can get these sites back into playing condition?”. The EarthWorks Sod Program is a very simple approach to getting sod, seed or even sprigs to take off quickly. It helps to build roots fast, ensures that these weak areas get established quickly, and that they fill in to match the rest of the turf. The focus here is mycorrhiza from EarthWorks Myco Replenish. Using a rate of 10 – 20 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. sq of surface area scratched into the soil about an inch deep ensures that the sod will grab hold quickly and roots will knit the sod to the ground. Mycorrhiza is ideal for establishing sod or seed and works by moving the roots deep into the soil quickly. It also helps the plant find water and nutrients especially phosphorous. Myco Replenish is the best starter fertilizer you can find because of its ability to not only provide phosphorous but to get it into the plant when it needs it most at time of establishment.
