2 Minute Turf Talk - The Legendary Donald Ross
Показать описание
We had the pleasure of interviewing Eric Richardson, the Director of Grounds at the Essex County Club, and talked about Donald Ross’ time and legacy at the club. Donald Ross was one of the most prolific Golf Course Architects in history with over 400 golf courses to his credit. Not everyone knows that Donald Ross started his career as an apprentice to Old Tom Morris at St. Andrews and was a club maker, a golf professional, and a golf course superintendent. In fact, as a golfer, he placed 5th in the 1903 US Open Championship and his brother won the 1907 US Open Championship. Donald Ross designed, and was the golf course superintendent at, the Essex County Club in Manchester, Massachusetts.
